Fabricius was born in Budapest, Hungary. Following a passion for visual art and music, Fabricius started his career as the keyboardist and VJ for various bands before he turned towards the media. He is a graduate of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Designin Budapest and Central Saint Martins College in London. His professors included Mike Figgis, Andy Haslam and Patricia Austin.
Ambitious to establish a stance in the a cultural and artistic scene in Central Europe, Fabricius focused on social awareness and civil campaigns, affiliating with commercials, music videos, short features, printed press, web 2.0 projects, and other cinematic, musical and multimedia initiatives. Among these were Live, the widely popular Sziget Festival documentary, Ittvan.org, the non-profit foundation raising national identity and awareness, and Alter & Kiss, the recently re-launched Central European fashion label.
Since 2007, Fabricius has been a professor in Media Theory, Trends, and Visual Communication at WERK Akademia] in Budapest.
